When I first started training with Neil, I was planning on only trying out personal training for 3 to 6 months max. It’s now been almost 8 years since I began my weightlifting journey with him and I can truly say that I am not the same person that I was back in 2017.

Over the past 7+ years, I have seen a huge improvement in my body composition. I’ve lost weight, gained muscle, increased my mobility and decreased bodily imbalances (caused by previous knee and shoulder injuries).

Neil is an absolutely fantastic trainer, his passion and commitment for his job is quite evident. He brings a wealth of knowledge, technique and most importantly a sense of humour to each training session. He’s flexible, can pivot training plans as needed (a frequent occurrence with my injuries) but will still push you to your limits (safely) to ensure you’re working out at your most optimal level. With Neil’s guidance, I’ve reached and even surpassed some of my goals - I can do 60 push ups, did my first ever chin up and am working towards my new goal of 5!

Neil is the best trainer I’ve ever had. When I first started doing workouts with him, I had zero motivation, and only wanted to do the absolute bare minimum. But Neil had (and continues to have) this amazing way of motivating and pushing me beyond what I ever thought was possible. (Without making me want to give up on the spot!) Not only does he push me, but he makes me want to push myself. I used to struggle to exercise once a week, but he inspired me so much that we’re up to three times a week. It even goes beyond the gym. I’m eating healthier, and have gone from walking just 1,000 steps a day to 10,000, thanks to his support.

On top of that, he’s also been amazing at helping me deal with injuries, more successfully than my actual physiotherapist. He’s able to both work around injuries, and to formulate workouts that actively help with rehabilitation. I’m constantly impressed by his ability to notice even the smallest adjustments I need to make, and how instantly helpful it always ends up being.

His knowledge, experience, and genuine desire to see people become the best version of themselves, have honestly changed my life. I’m the healthiest (and happiest) I’ve been in years. I could not recommend Neil more highly!

Neil was able to successfully find the source of my nagging knee pain that I have been having for several months! He conducted a thorough assessment of my movement patterns and mechanics to find the culprit of my knee pain. This is something multiple physios and doctors that I consulted prior to Neil could not do. I loved how he explained the reasoning and science behind each rehab exercise he gave me. He explained complicated concepts well to someone like me who is not a professional in the exercise science field. I always feel like knowing the "how is this particular exercise / routine helping me" when it comes to rehab helps to motivate me and stick to my routine. He provided just that. He is also very patient and gives excellent queues during the exercises to engrain the movements into your head. I've had an overall excellent experience with him and continue to feel better week by week following the routine he gave me for my pain.

I have been training with Neil since 2016, and he is still my conditioning coach, so that gives you an idea of how great i think he is! I have been an elite athlete in various sports for over 20 years, and that means I have my share of injuries but I don't want them to stop me from continuing to compete at the highest levels. Neil understood that and helped me to navigate my limitations so I would still reach the top. Thanks to him, I am still competing internationally in kettlebell sports without problems. Neil has a keen eye to recognize how his clients need to be pushed, and he has really helped my both physically and mentally to stay at the top despite my injuries. Neil and I don't even live in the same city these days, but I continue training with him virtually every week and that is still working out great. For people who want someone who will help them achieve their goals while using the methods geared to their specific psychology and body, Neil is the coach for you!
